Praying Mantis
Mr. Patterson took these pictures of a brown praying mantis in July 2001 with a Sony MVC CD-1000 digital camera in macro mode . There was some difficulty taking these pix because the critter wanted to jump on my camera. I had to dilute the images from 5 MB. bmp down to near 30 Kb. jpg because I am low on webspace. This is why the images appear a bit blocky . The original camera pix are not grainy; in fact, they look like film photos. They're AWESOME !!!
