Praying Mantis Eating a Grasshopper
On October 10, 2001 I took this photo of a large praying mantis sitting in an azalea bush and eating a grasshopper. The mantis is about 4" long and has lived through several nights in the 40 to 50 degree range.
This photo was originally a 5 mb. bmp file, but after trimming and changing to jpg format, I got it down to 41 kb.
