Mr. P. 's close-up wasp nest photo ( August 2001)
My camera was about 1 foot away from this nest, which was located under the eave of a storage shed. I used a Sony MVC CD-1000 with flash and some zoom. In the upper left is the beginnings of an old hornet nest which is many years old. The lower left part of the nest contains larvae, which are visible. The sealed cells contain the pupal stage, from which adults will emerge soon.
